Get Out Your Music Campaign Rules, Goals, Timeframes, and Proceduresby Hunter2049
Today starts VGTunes "Get Out Your Music!" campaign, a special competition that will help to grow our collection of soundtracks and give a little something back to you the fans at the same time. Besides the obvious community advantage of giving us soundtracks so that we may post them for everyone's benefit, there's some bonuses if certain goals are reached.
Goals
The goal for the campaign is 50 Soundtracks donated. This means that via some means (E-Mail, File Hostign Website, FTP) 50 (fifty) soundtracks must reach either Hunter2049 or another staff member (and be confirmed by that staff member) by the end of the time period for the campaign. If a soundtrack is submitted but no confirmation E-Mail is received, please E-Mail a staff member directly at this address
Timeframe
The timeframe for the campaign is between 9:45 a.m. CST May 2, 2007 to 11:59 p.m. CST on May 31, 2007. The 50 soundtracks must be received between those two times. If a soundtrack was submitted before the campaign started but was not received by a staff member until after the campaign began it shall be considered a part of the campaign.
Procedures
Visit our Submit Music Page and send an E-Mail with the files you'd like to provide to the E-Mail adress provided. Once your E-Mail has been received, you will get a confirmation E-Mail from a member of the staff with more specific instructions on getting the soundtracks to VGTunes. If the goal of 50 soundtracks during the campaign is reached, 10 E-Mail addresses will be randomly selected from those that submitted soundtracks during the campaign. If less than 10 people submit soundtracks, all of them will receive prizes, however if more than 10 submit soundtracks, the aforementioned selection process will be used. Not all who enter or submit soundtracks will win. No purchase is necessary. Entering multiple times will not increase your chances of winning.
Winnings
Those that are selected (if the goals are reached) will be notified via E-Mail within 10 business days of the end of the competition. Those that win will receive at least 1 VGTunes Basic T-Shirt, pictured to the left, with any extra prizes received to be considered a bonus. Extra prizes are not guaranteed and should not be assumed.
The winners are responsible for any aplicable taxes and payments corresponding to your local guidelines and regulations on prizes and winnings, though VGTunes will pay for the shipping and handling of the item to the winners as well as the cost of the item itself.
