Review
Donkey Kong Country redefined what a platform game should be. Starting with remarkable graphics and fantastic music and effects, the game easily become one of the “must own” titles for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (the SNES).
You play as Donkey Kong and his sidekick Diddy Kong as you try to take back Donkey Kong’s bananas that have been stolen by the evil King K. Rool and his Kremling Krew. Throughout the game, different animals, barrels, and mine carts are used to help you move Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong along in their quest.
The Donkey Kong Country Soundtrack is one of the greatest scores written for a game. The music pushed the sound system of the Super Nintendo to the limits, featuring strong beats, guitars, brass, and a very “jungle” sound. This soundtrack was provided by forum member justincase.
