Jet Force Gemini

Jet Force Gemini was a third person shooter that was released before its time. By modern standards, it would be considered an epic game, comparable to Halo in its size and variety of gameplay. An underperforming system for the magnitude and scope of such a project and an audience that simply wasn't interested hindered the game’s chances of success.

Featuring three main characters, Juno, his sister Vela, and their dog Lupus, you play as members of the Jet Force, a star fleet out to do good in the galaxy. With immensely different levels ranging from a mine to a space station to an ocean, and literally dozens of weapons, there was plenty to do in the game. It also featured an in-game multiplayer co-op mode where player 1 controlled one of the main characters, Juno, Vela, or Lupas, while player 2 controlled a robot named Floyd, who flew over the main characters right shoulder and was able to fire at targets as they went along.

The Jet Force Gemini Soundtrack is fantastic, featuring a score with many fanfares and heroic, majestic music as well as dark, mysterious songs to complement the games wide variety of locations and themes. As a side note, the Jet Force Gemini Soundtrack is my personal favorite here on VGTunes.
