Review
Arguably the single best strategy game on the market years after its release, Starcraft redefined what the genre should be. Featuring three very distinct races (the human Terrans, alien Protoss, and bug like Zurg) the game balanced itself wonderfully.
In addition to a riveting single player campaign, Starcraft introduced Blizzard’s online service, Battle.net. This service has become the standard for online matchmaking services, and is copied almost verbatim in each of Blizzards other games, including Diablo II and Warcraft III.
The Starcraft Soundtrack (and inherently, the soundtrack to its expansion pack, Starcraft: Brood Wars) has long been requested on our site, and we our proud to bring it to you. Featuring several different styles of music (heroic, eerie, and futuristic), Starcraft’s themes will surely bring back great memories to anyone who was playing games in the late nineties.
