Jet Force Gemini was a third person shooter that was released before its time.  By modern standards, it would be considered an epic comparable to Halo in its size and variety of gameplay.

 

Featuring three main characters, Juno, his sister Vela, and their dog Lupus, you play as members of the Jet Force, a star fleet out to do good in the galaxy.  With immensely different levels ranging from a mine to a space station to an ocean, and literally dozens of weapons, there was plenty to do in the game.  It also featured an in-game multiplayer co-op mode where player 1 controlled the main character, and player 2 controlled a robot flying over the main characters shoulder, firing at targets as they went.

 

The Jet Force Gemini Soundtrack is fantastic, featuring a score with many fanfares and heroic,  majestic music.  As a side note, the Jet Force Gemini Soundtrack is my personal favorite.
